Ellen Richardson is an undergraduate intern for the spring 2010 semester. As a senior at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, Ellen is pursuing a B.A. in International Relations with a focus on International Development Studies. Supplementing her classroom learning, she has traveled in Europe and Africa. In 2008, Ellen completed an independent study with a Nigerian non-profit working to strengthen community support for children and families impacted by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. She continues to work with the organization on communications projects. Upon graduation in May of 2010, Ellen hopes to have more opportunities for travel and anticipates a career in international affairs.
