Domenick Rowe, former intern and friend of the Institute for Global Engagement, tragically passed away at the age of 30 on June 8, 2009. He was a graduate (cum laude) of the Templeton Honors College at Eastern University, where he studied Political Science and Near Eastern Affairs. After his graduation, he lived in Morocco and Southern France researching North African and Southern European Arab culture, as well as in Panama for his business. He was the president of Aequitas Mercantile, LLC, an import/export firm specializing in luxury goods from the Mediterranean and Middle East, as well as the owner of Sera Dolca Culinary Services, Ltd., a company primarily offering professional services and food brokerage to the food and beverage industry. He also wrote short literary fiction and non-fiction essays for publication.
