Ivan Plis

Ivan Plis is a summer 2010 intern at IGE. A third-year undergraduate in Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, Ivan is majoring in Middle East Studies with a certificate in Muslim-Christian Understanding. His major examines historical and contemporary models of religious pluralism in the Middle East, and his certificate compares Christian and Islamic religious ethics of social justice. He will be spending the fall of 2010 at the University of Jordan and the spring of 2011 at the University of Seville (Spain). He was born in Russia and grew up in Harford County, Maryland.
