Monique Beadle is the Refugee Project Director of the World Organization for Human Rights in Washington DC and in her capacity she represents refugee women fleeing gender -based violence.

Dan Blau, Research Assistant
Dan plans to attend George Mason University in Fall 2007 and was a Research Associate at IGE in Summer 2006.

Cara Boekeloo, Research Assistant
Cara graduated from Calvin in May 2007 with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in rhetoric. She will spend summer 2007 as an editorial intern with Campus Progress, the online publication for the Center for American Progress. In the fall, Cara will begin the Soujourners Internship Program and act as an editorial resources assistant for Sojourners.

Rachael Boeve, Former Research Associate Coordinator
Rachael Boeve is a senior at Wheaton College. She completed IGE's Research Associate program in 2006 and returned to IGE to manage the summer 2007 RA program.

Laura Pontius (Bowman), Research Assistant
After her time at IGE Laura has since graduated from Indiana University with a double major degree in International Studies and Religious Studies. She is currently working with Tenton Literacy Program as an instructer and organizer of the ESL classes for Latinos in the Jackson community.

Nathan Carr, Research Assistant
Nathan Carr graduated summa cum laude from Eastern University and is currently working as an Emergency Communications Dispatcher for the Vermont Department of Public Safety.

After completing her internship at IGE, Jesse spent a year as an intern at Sojourners. She is currently at Princeton Theological Seminary and has just began a degree in Clinical Pastoral Education under the chaplain at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Bennett graduated from the Woodrow Wilson School of Foreign Policy at Princeton in May 2007. He now works at the Beckett Fund, a nonprofit, nonpartisan, interfaith, legal and educational institute dedicated to protecting the free expression of all religious traditions. Bennett's experience at IGE will help in the development of the Beckett Fund's international programs.

Rebecca Haines, Research Assistant
After her time as a Research Assistant, Rebecca became IGE's Program Officer for Muslim-majority countries. She left the Institute in April 2007 to pursue graduate studies in Gender and Development at the London School of Economics.

In 2007, Nate Jones joined SIL International. Nate and his wife have been assigned to work in Jakarta, Indonesia. Nate hopes to be involved in SIL's holistic response to minority language communities in western Indonesia, focusing on developing networks and partnerships between SIL, language communities and other important stakeholders.

Ms. Jutsum graduated from Haverford College in May 2006 and recently accepted the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship award to study the effectiveness of civil society organizations among indigenous woman in Ecudor, Bolivia, and Peru.

Kari is currently working as a consultant with the White House, planning an upcoming Summit on Malaria. Within the next few years, she plans to pursue a MA, and possibly PhD, in political science with an emphasis in comparative politics.

Dane Shelly is currently working at the Computer Security department at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and is a mentor for A Better Chance Foundation .In the fall of 2006 he will be studying political theory and law at Catholic University.
