03 December 2009

IGE Senior Research Fellow Michael Gerson was a special guest on the PBS program "The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer" on 16 October and 20 November. Mr. Gerson contributed to the Weekly Political Wrap along with syndicated columnist Mark Shields, reviewing important news from the previous week and assessing the progress of healthcare reform, the economic recovery, and the war in Afghanistan. "The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer" is seen five nights a week on more than 315 PBS stations across the country and is also available online via podcast. According to the Erdos & Morgan Opinion Leader survey, the program ranks first among all television news programs as "the most credible, most objective, most influential, and most current news program on television."

Watch the podcast or read the transcript for the 16 October program or the 20 November program.
