Suhail Khan Speaks at United Nations Forums

Print

03 December 2009

On 28 October, 2009, Suhail Khan, IGE Senior Fellow for Christian-Muslim Understanding, spoke at a forum at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. Titled "Defamation of Religions," the forum examined the relationship between freedom of expression and freedom of religion. The discussion was hosted by the NGO Committee on Freedom of Religion or Belief, the BYU Center for Law and Religion Studies, and the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty. In addition, on 30 October Mr. Khan addressed representatives from various UN Missions and Congressional staff as part of a forum hosted by the Humpty Dumpty Institute of New York, an organization that forges innovative public-private partnerships to find creative solutions to difficult humanitarian problems.
