Title: East Asia Program Assistant
Reports to: East Asia Program Officer
Job summary: IGE seeks a program assistant to support its East Asia engagement.

Minimum requirements:

Strong Christian faith commitment. Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g., Asian Studies, International Relations). Chinese language ability and prior research/knowledge of China a major plus. International cross-cultural experience (preferably in East Asia). Proven ability through prior work experience to manage projects, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly (verbal and written). Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and administrative capacity.

The program assistant will be called on to:
  • Provide logistical support to IGE’s engagement initiatives
  • Maintain bookkeeping for relevant activities
  • Maintain overall systems for program management and development
  • Perform grantwriting in support of IGE engagement initiatives
  • Provide research support to relevant IGE staff, maintaining research on the East Asia region in general, and China in particular
Abilities required:
  • Microsoft Office Suite
