IGE's Joshua White Testifies Before Congress

IGE's Joshua White testified before Congress on Wednesday, 4 March 2009. The hearing was conducted before the Subcommittee on National Security and Foreign Affairs of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee for Oversight and Government Reform. Mr. White spoke on the topic "Afghanistan and Pakistan: Understanding a Complex Threat Environment." He was joined by Mr. Peter Bergen, a Schwartz Senior Fellow at the New America Foundation, and Paul R. Pillar, Ph.D., a visiting professor for Security Studies at Georgetown University. Joshua White was also recently interviewed on AlJazeera for their program "Inside Story" which ran a segment on the Pakistani government's shariah deal in Swat.
